In Depth: The Prestige Edition

Some of you may be asking yourself,"Why Prestige, i don't want to lose my guns" or "Whats the point other then a new symbol". Well i took the opportunity to answer your questions and doubt prestige mode, like they were doubted in Modern warfare series "World at War" and "Modern Warfare".

Ok. first off lets start with the basics. What is prestige mode? Its that shiny button in your barracks that sets you to level 1. We all know that. But what else does it really offer?. Well we shall get to that in a moment.

Prestige Gets in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare:
You only get new symbols, there is nothing special.

Call of Duty: World at War:
You get new Custom Classes, so when your 10th prestige, you have a total of 10 prestige classes.

Now that the older games are out of the way. Lets focus on the new released one. Modern Warfare 2. Ok. You've seen the prestige goer's in games by now since the games been released 2 weeks. I myself am personally in the second prestige. What do you get? Here we go. In this game, you notice that you have things such as cool "Call signs" and "Emblems". But did you know, you can't unlock all the emblems and Call signs without prestige. "Why" says the average reader. Well its simple, in Prestige mode now, along with the shiny symbol you get new Call signs, Emblems, and CHALLENGES. that's right, Those new challenges actually help you get to your next prestige goer faster, as each one is extra exp that you use usually.





Take the famas. You complete the gun at 1000 kills. With Veteran (The new challenges) you gain the option to go to 2500 and still gain exp. Note these challenges do not reset either when you prestige 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. These challenges stick, and help unlock nice shiny cool call signs. Neat-o isn't it?

These are the new attractions to getting into prestige mode, to "Feed your thirst" as it were for the user who didn't want to hit the button.

The option is still totally up to you if you do, but we just figured we'd give you a little more insight as to what it actually does.
