Although we focus primarily on the Modern Combat aspect of Call of Duty, since news has been slow this week we thought we would let you know about a new World At War video interview. The video, which was posted on GameTrailers, comes from this year\'s E3 event and interviews several key World At War developers. Head on over to GameTrailers to check out the full interview.

I missed this one on Friday since I was out of town, but a new patch has been released for Call of Duty 4. The update, version 1.7, is an incremental upgrade patch, meaning that you must download and install version 1.6 in order for it to work. Here are all the changes and fixes in the update: You can download the new 1.7 patch from us below. Remember that you MUST install the 1.6 patch first for the patch to work properly. While many Call of Duty gamers, including myself, anticipated Call of Duty 6 (yes 6!) returning to the modern combat theater, it appears the title may be moving in a totally new direction. Rumors from Computer & Video Games are now circling that the next title will have a science fiction basis, somewhat similar to Battlefield 2142. Remember this is a rumor, as C&VG reminds you to take it with "a pinch of salt". We will keep you posted as more information becomes available.
With the release of World At War not too far off in the future, Activision has redesigned and relaunched their official site to serve all Call of Duty titles. Call of Duty.com has officially relaunched today with an entirely new theme, and a new name, now known as Call of Duty HQ. This website, which replaces the now defunct CharlieOscarDelta which served as the Official Call of Duty 4 website, will serve as the official portal for all of the Call of Duty games. The first trailer for Call of Duty: World at War will be revealed this weekend, according to an announcement by Microsoft. The premiere video will be available from the Xbox 360's Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

Activision has released a new patch for Call of Duty 4 this afternoon, version 1.6. The patch includes several fixes, but most importantly includes several new maps that had been released on console, but had yet to make it to PC. Mac users waiting to get their hands on Call of Duty 4 will now have to wait even longer. Aspyr, the developing studio for the Mac version, today announced that the game's release date was pushed back to third quarter 2008. We will let you know if more information develops.
